Dear experts!
I have an '86 300E with 18 inch Brabus wheels (offset 24), tire size 235/40/18. I have lowered the car by about an inch. I have noticed a heavy wear on the inside of both rear tires. Subsequent wheel balancing revealed a negative camber 2.5 on the passanger side, somewhat less on the driver side. The toe had been adjusted however there is no adjusment for the camber at the back. Any idea how should the problem be corrected? Should I change the camber strut (I am not the original owner the car may have been in an accident), should I go back to the original springs and change the rubber mounts to a tinner one to somewhat retain the lowered look? Any advice would be greatly appreciated? Alex |
