C36 suspension knocking
Hello all, and thanks in advance for the help!
I have a 1995 C36 with a knock in the front suspension. The springs are from H&R and I just had new Bilsteins installed. The noise was apparent before I swapped out the shocks. The installer (randall@autowerksexpress.com) noticed that the shock body appeared to be hitting the spring. The noise occurs when the car first accelerates, brakes hard or goes over a bump (e.g. the suspension is weighted or unweighted). The knock sounds to me as if the spring is slipping in the cup. Is this possible? If so what would cause it? I have heard everything from the frames is bent to the spindle is warped and even "that is normal on a lowered car". Ideas? Help! Thanks, ~dnm (spelling)

appears to be best to first review your entire suspension/chassis/steering system:
>bushings on lowered +1 set-ups take a beating. from this perspective- it could be a ton of things! fyi- Randall tech's should be able to source it no problemo best regards and let us know what turns out -fad |
