A radiator hose came loose on the freeway yesterday and I lost my coolant. I managed to coast to an exit and after several hours, fix everything. However, I notice that the engine is running at around 100degrees Centigrade. Is that abnormally hot? What is the potential damage that could have resulted from this incident? Could the water pump be weakened? Could the thermostat be damaged? I replaced the radiator cap. That was easy.
Any advice will be gratefully received. |
