Redline for 2.2 190d

I have a 1984 190d with automatic transmission. I was trying to find out what the Max RPM's for this engine is? And also what the best highway speed is? when i am going 70mph, I am turning right at 4000 rpm. Is this OK, it seems kinda high to me, but this is the first diesel that I have owned so i am new to all this.
