My car has Euro springs?

I have '87 300D with front springs 124 321 23 04. Dealer says I should have 124 321 22 04 and after some digging finds that the 23 04's were for Euro cars, never used on U.S. cars. These springs have yellow/red bands on them. Anybody know any more about this, does it cause ride height differences or different spring rates, etc?

Thanks,
Brian
