94 E320 - Wagon Should headlight switch be illuminated?
If it should be illuminated, how would the bulb be replaced? If the the factory didn’t illuminated the switch, is there a way to illuminated it and if so, how?

The switch itself is not illuminated, but the symbols around it, are illuminated. To replace the bulb, pull off the headlight switch knob (firmly) and remove the large nut underneath. Next pry off the black molding with the headlight symbols. The bulb clips into this.

Thanks for the info. Tomorrow, I'll be shopping for bulbs.

Ironically, the symbols around the headlight switch only illuminate when you turn the lights on. Not much help in locating the switch when it's dark. They fixed this little ergonomic goof on the 210 chassis - the headlight switch is illuminated all the time.
