I`m changing my oil this weekend. As a beginner DIY guy, especially with diesels, I was wondering if there`s a way to minimize the oil starvation that occurs for the first few seconds after oil change. Would pouring about 1/2 - 1 litre of oil into the line that feeds the engine from the filter do the trick. Or does that have some unintended consequences?
