why do my headlights suck so bad on my c240?

I CAN SEE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WHEN I DRIVE AT NIGHT. One of my headlights is about 6 feet higher than the other, and i cant drive like this. Is there any way to adjust the headlights? Does anyone know of authentic aftermarket xenon?

Yes, with the freeform headlights like this the best way to align the headlamps is with an optical headlamp aimer, such as the Bosch or Hella aimers, your dealer should be equipped with one of these. If you have replaced the headlamps with aftermarket bulbs (just a hunch) then it is possible that the bulbs are improperly installed, which really throws the headlamp alignment off quite a bit, well, alot actually.

I'd stay away from aftermarket Xenons but that's just me...

These guys did a great comparison.

My friend's 2003 C230 Kompressor has very good headlights rivalling some Xenon lights in my opinion.
Maybe not as cool looking but look very bright already.

I'm sure that you just need to properly adjust your lights. I have not had to adjust mine, but I'm quite sure there is a procedure in your owners manual if you do not want to take it back to the dealer.

I am totally thrilled with the standard halogen lights on my C240, so I am sure that yours can be properly adjusted.

Headlights probably mean more to me than 90% of the drivers on the road. I drive 20 miles of narrow, winding farm roads twice a day, most of the year in darkness both ways. This is just to get to the highway. I have to be dilligent watching for deer and escaped livestock. The lights are so bad on my 300E I have not totally escaped problems, but I'm in better shape than the Deer that I have hit.

Once your lights are properly adjusted, I'm quite confident you will be happy with them.

Good luck,

Stick to authentic once/if you are going to upgrade to Xenon...aftermarket Xenon kits are just not able to create a proper lightpattern in combination with the standard H4 reflectors and lenses.
Get a set of OEM W203 Bi Xenons...
