1988 300E exhaust system replacement
I need to replace my catalytic converter on my 300E (it has a crack). The car is formerly an east coast car so the exhaust system has some rust and I figure it may be worth it just to replace the entire exhaust system. Has anyone purchased the complete 300E exhaust system from timevalve.com? They quote a complete system with mufflers, pipes, and cat for around 800 bucks, does this sound reasonable?

I have read many posts of guys here recommending cats from timevalve.com.
I did a search on timevalve, and there are lots of threads. Here is one: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?threadid=47561&highlight=timevalve

That sounds very reasonable, especially for Stainless.
You may have already thought of this, but if the only problem with the cat is a crack, it would be far cheaper to have it repaired at a welding shop than to replace the whole assembly.

You know, that is a good price.
I had completely forgotten, but I had to replace my cat and exhaust a year ago. It comes in one long piece. My mechanic installed an aftermarket unit, and it was around $900 for the part, extra for installation.
