The blower motor in my 89 300TE started running intermittently last week and has now stopped working altogether. The pushbutton control seems to work since it will adjust flaps, activate AC compressor and activate the heater. The car is booked in at the local dealership (CAN$80/hr!!) for some diagnostics. If they suggest replacing the blower motor, if have a few questions before giving them the go-ahead (my wallet feels lighter already...):
Can these units be rebuilt? -or are rebuilt units available? Can a DIYer tackle the replacement job? Is this a typical problem? Thanks for any advice you might have.... Nick |
