Hardwire Garage Door Opener in W124

Anybody have any ideas on how to wire a garage door opener into the car such that flicking high-beams or something else convenient would activate it? Where to place, where to patch into wiring, etc. Thanks

Sears sells a replacement garage door openers that about the size of a matchbook, and about 1/2" thick. I put it between the seat and the console on the little horizontal trim that runs front to back. Very inconspicuous and your hand just falls to it. I secured it with a little pad of the "hooked" side of Velcro. Works great!

Our remote fits in the W124 ashtray, if you remove the tray insert. I just fold-it up and it's out of sight! :-) neil 1988 360TE AMG 1993 500E |

The newer MBs came with the integrated overhead consoles that you can program. My ML has it and it works on both garage doors and gate! I believe the company that makes them has a website, since they probably outfit other manufacturers vehicles. Sorry, I forget the name, but I plan to find out what they offer. I'd like a really clean solution for the other two MBs...
