83 240D Bleeding the Slave Cylinder-How to ?

83 240D Bleeding the Slave Cylinder-How to ?

Can you bleed the Clutch slave cylinder like you bleed the Brakes?
I haven't had any sucess trying. The only way I know to replenish the slave cylinder is to Use a Hand Pump Oil Gun filled with brake fluid connected by a rubber hose to the bleed valve. Though this works effectively, I still wonder if there is air in my slave cylinder.
This is because I can feel its Force against the Pressure Plate
decrease with Time. Sometimes at a busy intersection I have to re pump the clutch to get a Better Crisp Shift. Both components--the slave and the other cylinder are new.
Does anyone know a better way to bleed this or have any comments?
