does not stay in park

the problem i have is w/a 77 450sl ...sometimes not all the
time after I have been driving a while the car (automatic)
will not stay in park.. I have to drive it around a while then
put back into park... any ideas what prob might be? the
car shifts smooth both ways no strange sounds
