TE 4matic info.?

Can anyone point me toward official info. regarding the tendency of failure with the early 4matic transfer case? Office of Defects Investigation does not have a technical service bulletin that I can find. Thanks.

I've done searches on 4matic, 4-matic and transfer case. Lots of great info. I'm looking now to see if I can locate any official statements by MBz or oversight authorities.
