column noise in 94 500

I am new to the benz forum so please bare with me.
Anyone had any problems with Mercedes s500 1994. I am having a noise in the upper portion of the steering column. I took column apart and couldn't find anything. It noise is a creaking sound when turing the wheel either to the right or left.

Your help would be greatly appreciated
