I performed the check of the lambda as per
benzmac instructions.(lambda you can check) my readings were as follows.25 low 31 high avg of 28. Should I start with an adjustment of the lambda or change the o2 sensor and check again? this car has 103000 on it and I dont know if the o2 sens was ever been changed. Also what size of wrench is needed for the o2 sens? I only go to 19mm at this time. Thanks again Paul 92 300TE 4MATIC |
From the readings posted, the basic fuel adjustment is on the rich side. This will allow the car to perform better durning warm-up & at full throttle, it might reduce the fuel mileage. Sounds like the O2 sensor is working fine.

Adjusted the fuel mixture to a avg. reading
of 51. idle is smoother, it used to stumble then accelerate with a 30 to 40 second cycle. Thanks M.B.DOC & BENZMAC Paul |
