Brake Disc, Zimmerman cross drill Vs. Balo

Anybody had any experience on Zimmerman cross drill brake disc? Is it worth the paying twice the amount for it. Or should I just stay with Balo. Or any other brand recomend. All the brake disc on my 1980SD is all worn out of limit. I heard from this board that brake disc worn fast on these car. Is it because is a heavy car? If that is the case I don't want to spend more money for the expensive cross drill disc and end replacing it latter. What do you guys think?l

Lue, Thicker/heavier rotors absorb more heat thus prevents problems as wear, warping, using cross-drill rotors improve the life of the rotors some, but if the rotor is the same size as the OE, the improvement does not increase greatly. So unless you increase the rotor mass, I would not spend the $$$ for an expesive cross drill rotors, I personnally would use OE rotors, or stick with Balo rotors.
enjoy your drive, timreid
