W140 noise when first moving/idle curiosity
Just wondered if any guru knows:

Back out of the garage, throw it into drive and then somewhere in the first few feet of travel there is 2 or 3 seconds of precise, muted, servo-ed, whirring noise coming from near the lower left corner of the windshield. What is it?

That whirring noise is normal. I think it has something to do with the transmission.
