W124 subframe mounts DIY?

I am slowly replacing all suspension components in my '86 300E. The only thing left is the rear subframe mounts and a few links, also in the rear.

Searching here has given a range of opinion on whether the subframe mounts are a DIY item. The differential mounts have already been done by a shop, so that's not an issue.

I have the manual on CD and it shows two different extractors to remove and install the mounts. Are these required? I have a floor jack to support the diff. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Blake
