P/S Filter on a 96 c280

I was going to change the p/s filter on my 96 c280. I bought the filter but when I located the p/s reservoir I noticed it was not the "small coffee can" that I was expecting. It was instead something covered in plastic with only a small opening at the top and apparently no access to the bottom of the reservoir and "the filter". I have access to a 94 c280 and it has the "coffee can" reservoir where the top commpletely removes and I assume with the filter at the bottom. I read in one post that only the cars with the aluminum reservoir have the filter. Am I correct then that my car does not have a p/s filter and all I need to do is change the fluid. Thanks.

It's my understanding that the W202 cars do not have a PS filter. I know my M111 equipped car does not.
