no pressure
is the accumelator the same as a check valve? also is the accumelator what holds pressure in the fuel system?

The latter - it is a pressurized bladder that maintains constant pressure by allowing very little pressure change for small changes in volume. A check valve allows flow in only one direction, and the accumulator does not do that. There are check valves in the pump itself.
