Question Charcoal filter element

Hello guys. I am new to the Mercedes Benz arena. Have a couple of questions.
1- Where can I get a charcoal filter element for a 1999 E-320 Sedan?
2- Does anyone have any suggestions as to the installation/replacement of the element? I have never done this before....

Thanks in advance
:p

cLICK THE SEARCH BUTTON AND DO A SEARCH FOR "CABIN AIR FILTER W210"
(darn caps lock).
W210 is the body designation for the 99 E320.

Buy it by clicking the Fastlane button above.

They are quite expensive $220 at the dealer or $130 here. There is also a paper filter element behind the glovebox, it's a lot cheaper

Welcome to the MercedesShop forums.

Thanks Tom.
Would you recommend using the paper one or the Charcoal element?
Have you done this before? Can it be reached from the inside of the car, or will it be accessible from the outside?
Do I need any special tools??

Thanks again.

On the w210 it uses BOTH, as I said there is ALSO a paper filter element behind the glovebox.
Info on removing the glovebox

try this post and click the Bosch site link it'll show the location of the charcoal filters (there are two). When you order, you order one SET of filters - order ONE you get both charcoal filters. THEN you must also order the PAPER filter click on "show all" in Faslane above. For your car here is the info:

part No. R2061-66069 ACC Cabin Filter Set (PAPER) $21.70

Part No. R2061-77121 ACC Cabin Filter Set (CHARCOAL) $132.29

Both are inside the car. Tools needed: philips screwdriver.
