Whistling/whining souns beneath back seat

Hi,
My car has done nearly 110K miles. Lately, I'm hearing a whistling/whining sound from under the back seat from 50mph upwards. Over the months, this sound has increased gradually. Recently, I had the oil in the differential changed, but this has had no positive effect.

I would appreciate to her your ideas about what causes the sound, and what needs to be repaired/replaced.

Thanks!

I'm sure you considered the tires. In my old Acura Legend with front wheel drive if you didn't rotate the tires, the rears would "cup". The resulting symptom was a whining from the rear end at speed.

Thanks 95E320cab,
I actually did not consider the tires yet, I'm focussing on the drive-train, but will definitely follow up your suggestion anyway.

Cheers!
