In my case, the drivers side wheel bearing had loosened a hair. This caused the hub to pull away from the end of the sensor which is magnetized. I would imagine that put the ABS system into a dizzy state as the sensor readings were now inaccurate.

The tech I hired adjusted the wheel bearing and reset the computer to remove the ABS light. No sensors were replaced in my case.
