My 1981 300D fan clutch is bad and needs replacing. I currently have the old metal style fan. I have read where the newer plastic 9 blade fan is more efficient and bolts on the same fan clutch. Is this true? Or do i need to get a different clutch? Is it really worth the effort? I was thinking that since I have to replace the clutch anyway I may as well put on a better fan if available.
