How do you remove the small piece on wood trim that is above the A/C control unit. it houses the sliding blower control and the recirculation switch. I know the knob pulls off with a pair of rubber tipped pliers, but how does the actual piece released.
Also, how does the left hand side air housing right next to the gauges released. The vent directional is pulled out, but how are the four tabs released Thanks Rusty 1986 190E 16Valve |

The wood trim around the blower switch requires a pulling hook to remove.
On the vent first pull out the louver, then with a screwdriver lift up the sloted plastic locks while pulling out on the vent. It requires a bit of skill to release all 4 of the locks. |
