Oil filters for a 2000 M113 engine

When I had my VW, there was always 2 choices for the oil filters purchased at the dealer.
One, the Hengst for " normal " drain intervals, and two, a Mann for "extended service " ( it said 15 000 miles right on the filter housing ).
