Sway bar bracket 300e

Could somebody do me a favor, take a look and tell me which way their front sway bar brackets are facing on your 300E. In other words is the sway bar in front of the bracket or behind the bracket.

Thank you in advance.

The sway bar should be in front of the bracket... the only way it can come out is forward and down, can't go back because the sway bar ends bolt on the front of the control arm.

Anthony,
Thank you very much for your response.

Just to add to the general knowledge on this board let me add: that the sway bar brackets on the W124 can be reversed. This is to accomodate the smaller sway bar of the 4 cylinder W124's. The smaller bar runs behind the brackets. If anybody has a european 4 cylinder W124 (200E or 230E) and you want to upgrade the sway bar to the big boys you have to turn the brackets around. There are slots in the frame to allow this.
