I have a 1981 300D that needs a new modulater valve. I have the valve, red one, but I can't find a procedure for its correct adustment. I have the Mercedes manual on CD(bought it from this site), but it seems to lack anything on the transmission except for fluid changing. I have read elsewhere that its easy to do with a vacuum gauge. But don't know the spec's. Help!

They are close from the factory. Just install it and drive the car. IF the shift is too hard, turn counter clockwise one full turn, if it is too soft do the opposite.
