I have a '83 300D with body damage from the rear door to the rear bumper on the quarter panel. The damage is severe. I called the junk yard and they want $300 for a used (most likely rusted and pitted)piece. Is there an outfit that sells new replacement rear quarter body panels?

You have two options, you can either buy the panels direct from an MB dealer or you can check http://www.kkmfg.com for prices. They make replacement Mercedes sheetmetal panels and are supposedly very good, and not to mention inexpensive. Hope this helps!
