Just curious if there are any Canadian members out there who had figured out how to disable the DRL?
If not, where do you think will be a good source to look? Thanks for any feedback in advance. Eric 2000 E55 |

I think the dealer can reprogram to disable DRL. The question is if they are willing to do it.

Just curious, but why disconnect the daytime running lights? I know it is a safety issue, but obviously not on the level of disconnecting the airbag.

Now and then when I see cars forgetting to turn on their headlights or if I need to warn them of hazards ahead, I find flipping the headlights on and off or flashing my highbeams with lights off much more effective than otherwise.
Besides, with DRL, I hate to get into situations where others would flash at me thinking that I have accidentally left my lights on. While I'm not sure how much wear and tear DRL would cause, I rather have the option myself when to turn on and off the lights regardless. Perhaps I'll need to fix up this DRL problem in the US? Thanks for all the input. Eric 2000 E55 |
