Wind Noise

I have been working on wind noise on my '84 500SEL. While reading about wind noise on the 126's I have seen several refferences to the mirrors, but can't seem to find anything about what the problem is or what can be done if anything to correct the problem.
Could someone please shed some light on this subject.
Thanks

Wink Wind

pmckechnie - It was my personal feeling that the mirrors are the culprit. When I first bought the 126 always thought there was a door not shut tight, window not up all the way, etc. I take medicine now that helps me deal with this paranoia - Seriously it appears only to be real bothersom when traveling against the wind at highway speeds.
I did put an Alpine in and keeping the volume at "19" seems to make the noise less noticible. (LOL)

I notice the wind noise from the pass side mirror, but not driver's side. Wind direction? Not sure. It *is* annoying, esp. since I have cars that are 30+ years old that are much quieter at 75 mph!
