Dash Removal-126 Series

I need help in removing a dash from a 1984-380SEL--thank you

Do you have any shop manuals?

Just as a rough sketch, you're going to have to remove the A pillar trim, remove the steering wheel, remove the ignition switch, remove the climate control system, remove the instrument cluster, and keep track of the wire looms, vacuum hose connections and all the fasteners.

Having a digital camera will help.

Keeping good notes of wire colors and positions is critical.

You need the 126 CD unless you can come up with printed manuals. No way you want to try this w/o good doc and the advise above about the camera is very good. Get one if you don't have one.

I got the dash out without tearing any thing up and it turned out to be a headache but it went away--thanks for helping...jim
