DTC codes for 400E or E420
Does anyone know the codes for the 124 chassis 400E of E420. My car has the led indicator and I have couple of codes coming up as well as the 'Check Engine" light on. I went on JimF website and found that he has a table of what the codes mean, just that his car is a 140. Are the codes the same for mine? If not does anyone know where to look.

Thanks for the table, and the link to the pdf. I tested the system today and cmae up with codes 4, 5, and 17. Does anyone have any idea what these mean? I think that code 4 refers to a bad mass air sensor, 5 could be the O2 sensor, and 17 I have no clue about.

Code 4 is AIR system and 5 is EGR system..
Because BOTH these systems Switch -Over- Valves are supplied engine vac from a Common intake vac line , I would check that line for cracks/broken/disconnect... If this singe vac line is broken, Both systems will not operate and they will Both throw a CE lamp/code... There can be many other causes, but start there first due to both codes coming up at the same time... and it is common to see this line broken from heat fatique...
