Car idles in Drive at 500 rpm????

Hello Board,
My 87 300e idles at 500rpm while in drive. Is that normal?? If not, what could my problem be??

Cleaned Idle Control Valve.

my 500 idles at 450 rpm, the low end of the acceptable range. does it shudder? do you feel like it will stall? if not, i would not worry about it.

My 83 280se happily idles at 500rpm in drive when fully warmed up. I am actually pleased it is stable and sustainable at that rpm!

My 300E idles at exactly 500 rpm too..
Why should that be a problem?

I thought that it was supposed to be around 750rpm. Well it does not have any inclination of stalling and the car runs really quiet. I just thought it was supposed to idle a little higher.
