Question rear crank seal ?

i have a w123 and need to change the rear crank seal. is there an easy way to install?

I could not think of a more pia job to have to do on the W123. The rear seal is what, in my industry, is called "packing". The ONLY way to replace it is to have the crankshaft out of the way and this means pulling the engine. I will say though that it lasts for a very, very long time.

What engine is in your W123? If it's a Diesel, it's quite a job. Not sure about a 280E or other models not offered in the US.
