when i fill my tank, i get gas to go into my trunk when the tank overpressurized due to hot weather

There are vent hoses that run to the bottom of the car where there is a check valve for air to come in. If it has a pinhole in it, it will smell. Also there are a couple of them that go to the purge canister.
