Any new source for w126 keys?
Does anyone know any new sources for w126 MB 420 Sel? I only have one key and need to get at least 1 other if not 2. Can someone steer me in the direction to get a new key made other than the dealer. The dealers where I live(TN) try to stiff people on prices. Thanks. Scott

I don't know of anybody besides dealers that can make keys.
Resign yourself to the fact that it's going to cost $20 or so for a key. At least you know that someone can't duplicate it.

About $28 per key and a three day wait while the make and ship them from Germany. Go to the dealer and bring proof of ownership (registration and DL), they'll order them and have for you quick. I got two to be on the safe side.

I got a key made for my W126 about 6 months ago and my dealer got it from a Mercedes place in Baltimore. $20. Two years ago when I got a R107 key made, they did it on premises, but that key machine doesn't work anymore.

Is there any way to get a 126 key put on to one of the 140 "flip key" keychains?
