When the 617 diesel engines were hot and idling, I removed the engine oil filler cap. I found that some engines had blow-by smoke coming out of the oil filler hole and some did not. For the one that had blow-by smoke, was it a worn engine? Were there any other reasons causing the smoke? Clogged tube? Defective air filter housing? wrong engine oil?
Thank you in advance. David [This message has been edited by be459 (edited 04-01-2000).] |
