126 Hood Star Removal

I just received my Avant Gard grill from Matrix Car in Germany for my 560-SEL. I'm like a kid at Christmas and can't wait to install it. I have removed the hood star from my CLK and for the life of me can't remember how ( early stages of alzheimers, perhaps). Can someone give me a tip as to how to remove it on the 126.
