Help!!! Major Leak in trans.

Hi All:

HELP!!! I just have been banned from my parking garage. I did the search thing and I didn't find the answer I have been looking for.

I came to the conclusion after going under the car that the front seal is gone. I tried every stop leak possible and I can't get it to stop. Tell me if I am wrong but I have been told I need to drop the tranny and possibly pull the whole engine. Is this correct? I don't want to do that. The cheapest quote I got was estimated at $2500.00

If it does come down to that, what else do I need to change while I have everything pulled? I was even thinking if the engine was pulled too, I would change motor and tranny mounts as well as flex discs too. What other seals if any do I need to change along with a filter and gasket change.

Any input on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Aloha,
Eric

Oooooooh, You're on the Island of Highway robbery! Here in the contiguous 48, to R/R the tranny is ~ 15 hrs labor at between $65 - $100/hr labor. so figure somewhere between $1000-$1500. There shoot I can't image what labor rates must be... heck I bet even 'ol Gomer and Goober could probably get $100/hr to bust /bang/and break the $#!t out your car over there.
