Well that nice 85 euro 280se of mine flunked the emmisions test today when I went to get it inspected. Everything was fine on the machine except hc ppm which has to be under 200 to pass. No matter what we did it wouldn't go below 300 at all. When we first started it was at 2000 cuz I had turned the injection screw too rich, but when we leaned it out to get to 300, it stumbles and almost dies. Any ideas on getting this thing to pass??

You will have to install a new catalytic converter if you hope to pass. We have a shop here that will do them on Euro's for about $250 or less. Go to an independent muffler shop.
