114 Versus 115
Can anyone tell me the difference between the 114 and 115 style bodies..What years were each produced..They look alike to me...Thanks...jim

They're cosmetically identical. I understand that there are some differences in construction and welds and such. The 115 is actually a little tougher because a good number of 115s were destined to livery duty.
Other than that the 114s have 6 cylinder gassers and the 115s have 4 cylinder gassers or Diesels. I'm sure folks more familiar with the series can provide more specifics such as what options were available and how many rows of bumpers to expect in each lines. The W114/W115 chassis is the SAME chassis. The W114 chassis has more trim, exterior & interior. The W114 chassis was only for 6 cylinder gas cars. The W114 chassis had only 6 models in the USA 2 of them were coupes.
The 1975/76 300D was really a W114 chassis so they gave it the W115.114 designation.
