My shifter sometimes is slow (2-3 sec) to complete a manual upshift from 3 to D. There is the waiting and a small "clunk" sound in the shifter column then the trans immediatly makes the upshift. It's like something need lubrication in the shifter mechanism. What is the correct way to lube it, if it is supposed to be lubed? I thought about Moly motorcycle chain spray lube in a pressure can, but where should I squirt it.

Anyone have experience along these lines? Help would be appreciated.
