Judging by the howl, the bearings for the air pump pulley assembly have failed; vehicle has 107K miles. Can just the pulley/clutch assembly be replaced or is renewal of the entire air pump assembly advisable? If so, new or rebuilt? CCI Uptime offers a reman unit for approx. $700 but strongly advises that an accompanying check valve be replaced. Would appreciate any input on this matter. Thanks.
