There are updates available for the Comand system. Maybe the person you are talking to needs to check in the shop, they should have the update discs out there, I'm sure the techs there will be familair with them, they get sent new discs quite often.

I believe, however, that the new discs will work fine with the old software. It's when you go "backwards", ie older discs in a Comand which was produced later, that you can have problems, but the new discs should be OK to use in an older Comand.
