Question Stalling......Humidity?

My 98 E320 wagon runs great so far, except when it is excessively humid. Luckily that is seldom in Tucson. If it's been raining and I park my wet car in the hot garage for a few hours or overnight, when I go to start it the following happens: Key in ignition, move to start, engine turns over, engine starts and runs for about 2 seconds and stalls. Restart, same thing, then again it runs fine. This happened yesterday, it was very humid, but no rain, when I parked my car a work early in the AM. I came out and tried to start it about 6 hours later and the same sequence as described above. It took 4 tries this time to keep it running. No info on the display or check engine lights either time. The car has no other symptoms. Once it starts and stays running, it is fine. Any ideas?

plugs wires rotor

the way I learned about why you need to keep the distributor cap dry was as follows: I got the bright idea to wash my old 89 camary wagon's (gone now, great car) engine, so I popped to hood and sprayed the S##t out of it. literally. anyway went to start it up the next day and to my absolute horror the car did the same thing your car seems to be doing , had electricity, tried to turn over but wouldn't. I had no idea what was happening and suspected the worst. turns out I had gotten water in the distributor cap. Because you notice your car's symptoms when its wet outside, humidity or rain, I think it might be a good idea to, if you have not already, at least inspect the cap and plugs.

I have same problem on 1988 320 se. After heavy rains and not driving for a while, it starts. I drive a few miles. Either stop at light or shut off and then leave for afew minutes...wont start just turns over. I think its water in gas. Added moisture remover to gas. No concrete answer yet
