Hi Vikki! I took a look at the hardtop holder from adsitco, and it seems to be OK. I purchased mine from the dealer, which supports the top in the same upright position. However, it also supports from the rear windshield, not from the sides along the top itself. I strongly recommend that you purchase some type of holder. The tops can warp if stored incorrectly.......then you have a really expensive coffee table!
PS.....I store mine in our living room, on the rack.......the wife is REAL pleased with this!!!!

Finished my Hoist today - 300SL
Had enough of my Hard-top taking up floor space in the garage, so decided to build an overhead lift similar to some products on the market. Finished it today for about $100 for electric hoist and supports, and it's so over-designed I can sleep at night.
If you want details, look at Post #13 at http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?p=1120530#post1120530 Best wishes, Phil |
