Dear Mr. LarryBible:
My best wishes for you and your new job. BTW, if you get 26 Kbaud with your modem and crappy phone line and your modem is an internal one, try to get an EXTERNAL USRobotics 56K (x2/V90/V92). It will boost your bit rate to about 40 Kbaud. Been there done that (your favorite phrase :-) several times with great success. EXTERNAL modems (especially serial ones from USR/3COM) are a whole better than internal ones. Do never buy USB-based external modems because they're junk. Best regards, Eric |

Larry,
In the relatively short time I have been a member here, I have developed great respect for some other members. You certainly are one of those members. You have always been willing to contribute more to, than you have taken from the forum, and for this I'm sure many members are grateful. Good luck with your future pursuits and I look forward to reading your contributions on those occasions in the future when you can visit the forum. Thanks, Greg (in Oz) PS. Looking at the pic of your 300E, it is a credit to you, especially considering the distance it's travelled. That manual 'box must make it a more involving drive too.
