I am getting an odd sound in my '90 300E. When the car is cold, I get a chirp/squeak on each revolution of the wheels. It does not seem to be affected by depressing the brake pedal. After the car warms up (about 15 min.) the sound goes away.

Any ideas? It's getting rather loud and I'm getting worried...

This can be caused by dust sheilds (tisk tisk if you have them on the car)/. If not I would think that it could be the parking brake shoes. Try pushing the pedal in one click and see if the sound changes.
